Keep Storm Drains Clear
Keep your storm drains free and clear of snow, leaves and debris/ If it’s safe and possible to do, remove debris or snow blocking the drain. Create a channel if need be, to facilitate water flow.

Clean parks, healthy communities
You can put pet waste and kitty litter (all varieties) in your green cart for composting. For the safety of your collector, put pet waste in a certified compostable bag or paper bag and securely tie/roll closed.
Volunteer Alberta Survey
Volunteer Alberta is looking to get feedback from volunteers across the Province. This anonymous survey will help identify trends in volunteer motivation, retention, morale and barriers.

The The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) offers a program called TIES Healthy Minds, providing free counselling services to anyone in Calgary—no referral, criteria, or barriers to access.

Agent Status Program
The Calgary Police Service is expanding its Agent Status Program, a proactive initiative that empowers officers to address trespassing and suspicious activity on private, non-residential properties. After a successful pilot in the downtown core, the program is now opening up more broadly to property owners across the city.
Operation Cold Start
The Calgary Police Service has relaunched Operation Cold Start, a province-wide awareness campaign designed to reduce auto theft during the winter months.

December brings a new season of snow and festive holiday cheer. Cambrian Heights continues to support two outdoor ice surfaces behind the Community Hall through the winter months

Cambrian Heights once again provided free pumpkins to residents and those in surrounding communities on October 25th. Another family event is planned for November with our annual Lego Contest scheduled November 15th.

October brings a change in the season and the bright colours of Fall displayed in our community and surrounding parks. We celebrate friends and families with Thanksgiving and the children get their fill of sweet treats on Halloween.

This summer’s Cambrian Heights Farmers Market at the Community Hall parking lot has once again been a great success. More residents from surrounding communities are enjoying the variety and freshness of food and beverages offered by over 20 vendors.

August is a month where families focus on summer outdoor activities before a new school year commences. July saw another successful year for the Calgary Stampede and the Calgary Folks Music Festival.

July and August are quiet times for the Community Association as everyone focuses on summer holidays and the outdoor parks so prevalent in our area of the City. We did host our fourth annual Family Bike Day with free bicycle tuneups and family activities behind the Community Hall on June 14.
